I'd really like to know what the average person from the UK actually thinks about America--just curious...?

I'm just curious simply because the U.S. is going through a sort of identity crisis right now, and we've managed to piss off a few of our friends in past years. The notions of nationalism and patriotism are at the forefront of cultural debate and health care, the right to bear arms, and other freedoms are in the spotlight now--especially given the the Republican vote to repeal health care, the recent shooting in Tuscon, and freedom of speech issues.
