I tried to jailbreak my ipod touch 2nd gen?

i triewd jailbreaking my itouch 2nd gen. and it worked... but when i went to install something from cydia, it said reboot and it shutdown... when i tried to reboot it it wont go on... and i looked at the video on youtube that i got the jailbreak from and it said repeat steps 5 6 7.. and i tried but i cant because its not making those connection chimes like when u plug and unplug something into a usb port. my computer isnt recognizing my ipod which i know is normal.. but i cant get it to go on ... i think its in DFU mode and i just wanna restore it to normal... can someone please help me
