Does tweezing facial hair make it grow back longer and thicker?

i recently plucked out a hair from my face on the lower cheek area would it grow back thicker or longer? i heard that by doing this you are stimulating the follicle making it grow back thicker and longer can anyone who has experienced this tell me if this was true or not
