Ok...so, this takes guts but here goes. Stars that aren't?

I've been seeing them for years, the stars that aren't, or are they? They light up with red, blue, green and amber lights and move slightly within a triangular space. Some people see them, some don't see them at all. What are they? Satelites? Pollution in the atmosphere that make them appear to flash different colors? (not likely) If you ask this question, dingalings with dingaling answers comment (whatever), but no one ever risks a real answer. I have been finding out that more and more people are coming forward with the question: What are these objects?
